Guinness(R) Corned Beef
Excellent. I made one this way and another the traditional way, and everyone preferred this one. Cooked on low in a crock pot and it came out very tender. I also used the spice packet. Next time I will cook the cabbage, carrots, and potatoes separately - the ones cooked with the beer were too sweet. I can't stand Guinness beer, but couldn't taste it at all in the beef - it just had a very good taste which we didn't think was too sweet at all. This will be our corned beef recipe from now on!
