Married for 3 years now to a wonderful guy! We just bought a home in April 2006 and are now workin' on starting a family. My favorite holiday of Halloween is coming up, so I'm planning some fun decorations and great food. Chicken and dumplings and anything Halloween related. I was making a Lobster and King Crab Pot Pie that I saw on the "Emeril Live" show. The ingredients were very expensive because of the seafood. The roux and filling turned out beautifully. Then I was to make some homemade pie crust for the top crust. I had never made a pie crust before, so I blew off the 3T of cold water in the crust recipe. I had missed it in the recipe and when I was done I figured, it's only 3T...what could that hurt. Boy, was I ever wrong! The crust was mushy and terrible. My husband scooped out the inside of the pie and tried to scrape off every little bit of crust. What an expensive 3T of water:)
