About this Cook
Well, I like to cook. I like to cook for friends, family and my boyfriend. Other than that I'm a geeky student who likes to exercise and watch Firefly.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook things with pumpkins, artichokes, pineapples, cinnamon, and chocolate. Not all together, hopefully. I like making jams, crepes, cookies and back in the day I was learning to mix tea while I worked at an organic tea shop. I like to keep things simple, yummy and healthy. I don't see the occasional fried food as anything bad because your body will want what it needs, and a little fat sometimes doesn't hurt anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's potato soup and artichoke balls, my mother's sweet potato casserole and lasagna. Not a lot of actual eating or preparatory traditions, just Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday dinners like every other American family.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds
Excellent dish! I added more spice, pepper and some sprigs of fresh rosemary on top.
