This is now my standard macaroni salad recipe. Everyone raves about how delicious it is. I did make a few small changes: increased the dressing by half again, substituted red pepper for green and substituted chunks of cheddar for the American cheese. Yummy. Thanks, Jim!

A great pie. I told my husband he had to guess what was in it, and he couldn't figure it out. I have never tried buttermilk pie before, but I guarantee I'll be making it again. It did take almost an hour to bake. At 35 minutes it hadn't even begun to set. A small problem, considering the final result.

This is a very good recipe. Multiplied it many times and made it for my daughter's wedding reception, and I received many compliments. My only question would be about the number of servings. This recipe makes between 13 and 14 cups of salad. Unless you are feeding Paul Bunyan and his brothers, I think that's a lot more than six servings. Maybe it 's supposed to say 16?
