Married and have a beautiful baby boy. Birthday cakes for my little boy! He got two different cakes for his first birthday! I also love taking different spins on boring dishes. Family get-togethers on my mom's side are great. Everyone pitches in and brings dishes based on the cuisine, and no one is left doing all the work. We never run out of food, and there is always a ton of food left over to take home. My son's "tye dye" cake turned out AWESOME! See picture! Recently made an Orange Creamsicle cake for my mom's birthday that avalanched in the fridge due to my experimentation with layering. It's all about the "wow" factor for me and birthday cakes - this one ended up being a disaster, but still delish with only half the cake in tact!
