About this Cook
I'm Hannah, from Germany. I'm a huge fan of the American way of life. In my free time I like to create new recipes ( espectially when my lecture at college makes me sleepy ;-) ). Also I like to go to the cinema, listen to great, loud and old music. My friends are very important to me, so I spend a lot of time with them, too.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. Espectially cookies, brownies or other tiny things. I also like to bake special things for a birthday or something. But cooking is fun, too. I prefer Italian cuisine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love pasta. But the most of my mothers recipes are selfmade. She likes to cook fat free and healthy. But that makes no differece - for me: my mom is the best cook in the world!
My cooking triumphs
A Mr. Tom butter - cream cake. It was for my best friend as a birthday present.
My cooking tragedies
Muffins with a white chocolate surprise :-( The frist time I had made them they were delicious, but then I tried a different chocolate. It was a disaster!

Grandma Johnson's Scones
Great recipe! I`m from Germany and when I was in NYC a couple of month ago, I bought a Starbucks Scone. It was delicious, and so I decided to try them at home. So I found this recipe. First it was a bit difficult to find out what 'creme of tatar' means in german. But then I googled it and found the word: 'Weinstein' or 'Weinsäure'. I also added chopped apples, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla flavor. I think because of the apples my scones were a little too squashy.
