Slow Cooker Beef Stew III
This is an awesome base recipe for beef stew. I wouldn't suggest making it with just the ingredients listed in this recipe alone; cause it really didn't have that old fashioned grandma beef stew taste. Instead of using 1 can of Golden Onion Soup, I used about 1 3/4 cans (of the small cans). Instead of using water I used beef broth made from beef bullion cubes. Instead of using regular Onion Soup Mix I used the Golden Onion soup mix. I also added some worcestershire sauce (not sure of the amount just poured some in), adobo (not sure of amount just sprinkled some in). I also added a package of McCormicks Beef Stew seasoning, which I think that is what the stew need to give it the flavor I was looking for. I also added more pepper. I didn't cook the stew overnight, I cooked it on high for about 6 hours and the stew came out fantastic. Like others I added some corn starch at the end to thicken up the sauce alittle bit as well. Both my husband and I loved it. I served with some biscuits on the side. OMG to die for... We are having left overs tonight. Definitely will make it again, and again.

Play Dough Cookies
These cookies really look cute. I made them in Orange and Black for Halloween, and gave them out at the Children's Halloween party as favors instead of giving them goodie bags. I new they were going to get alot more candy by Trick or Treating. It is very time consuming, and really no flavor to the cookie. My husband and daughter really didn't like them except for the way they looked. I am going to rate this with three stars for appearance. Maybe a more traditional sugar cookie recipe would go better with this type of cookie if your looking for flavor. I even tried adding more sugar and vanilla extract to make it sweeter, but I guess it didn't work.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs
Like everyone else I changed the sauce. I didn't want the sauce to come out tasting to much like ketchup. Therefore, instead of using two cups of ketchup; I used 1 cup ketchup to 1 cup BBQ sauce. Everything else I kept the same. The sauce came out great, didn't like my selection of ribs. I couldn't find baby back ribs so I used Country Style ribs which I thought was to fatty for me. Would I use again...probably cause it was fast and easy to make. I also placed the ribs in the oven after cooking in the crock pot to caramelize the sauce to the meat. I do have another recipe for BBQ ribs that takes alot more prep time, but the ribs are fantastic.
