I am a full-time working mom and wife. I love the cook and my kids have many favorites that we have tried over the years. Both my mom and dad cooked while I was growing up and all four of us kids do well in the kitchen. I am trying to pass this passion onto my two boys as homecooked meals for many are a thing of the past. Spaghetti Sauce, Lasagna, Prime Rib We don't have any family here so most of the major holidays we invite people in our Ministry over for some big meals. Love to do Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. The past few years we have included people that live on our cul-de-sac and I have made huge pans of lasagna. Last Father's Day we celebrated by having a luncheon of bbq prime rib. I cut the meat into reasonable servings and made my own rub and let the meat marinate for a few hours in the fridge in resealable plastic bags. My husband was the bbquer and got rave reviews for how good the meat was! The best compliment "I have never had such a good steak even from a steak house!" Didn't realize that my crock pot was busted and put all the makings for Green Split Pea Soup and came home to barely warm "soup"
