About this Cook
I'm a 43 year old mother of 2. My husband and I started a sports booster club for my son's high school. We started it my son's senior year and we were able to raise $8,000.00 almost by ourselves. I love to cook comfort food, that's my favorite thing to eat. I love to go out to eat and try new foods. My family is very picky so it makes it difficult to try new things.
My favorite things to cook
comfort food and especially desserts
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have a family cooking tradition.
My cooking triumphs
baking.
My cooking tragedies
pie crusts. I just can't make them as hard as I try.

Hot Dog a la Potato
I just made this for my son for supper last night. I used shredded cheddar cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese instead. He loved it, I made 4 thinking he'd have 2 left over for today's lunch but no chance, he ate all 4 of them. He's a wicked fussy eater but loved these.

Salisbury Steak
I made this for my picky family and once they took one look at it they wouldn't even try it! I ate it that night and it was ok but then I brought it to work about 2 days later to have for lunch and I loved it. I thought it was better a couple of days later. I changed this up, I didn't use onion soup mix b/c the kids don't like onions so I used a package of brown gravy mix and I mixed it w/1 cup of water and a can of mushroom soup until thick. I used 93% hamburg and I used Pam to fry the steak then I poured over the gravy and put it all in the oven for about 20 minutes until the gravy was hot. Served on mashed potatoes. Oh course the family wanted to eat the mashed potatoes.

Asian Salad
I just hosted a pot luck lunch at work and one of my co-workers made this dish and I absolutely loved, loved, loved it! I couldn't stop eating it.
