My favorite things to cook
Obviously Chinese. =] But i also love Italian, Mexican and Japanese. i believe that you can cook delicious food but healthy at the same time. healthy doesn't mean bad food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chinese (especially Cantonese) steam alot. We prefer stir fry and roasting to deep fry. We also do alot of soup. We drink our soup 30 mins before meal time so that we dont over eat. I say "drink" soup because our soup are light but made with lots of veggies and meat that it is very hearty and healthy.
My cooking triumphs
I am good at cooking most Chinese dishes and pasta. But i did bake a chicken once that turned out soooooooo good. i will upload a pic and recipe later! =]
My cooking tragedies
I dont bake deserts much. Something about flour that kicks my behind. I didnt grow up with an oven, my mom never baked, so i have no idea how to really bake from scratch. >__<
