About this Cook
I'm a full time working mother of 2. I'm a parrothead and I enjoy being outdoors.
My favorite things to cook
Traditional italian dishes, as a result of my heritage, as well as any type of comfort food that my family enjoys.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking Thanksgiving at my house with my mother, Christmas brunch that I prepare myself, and my new tradition of involving my young son in preparing the meals.
My cooking triumphs
My first turkey ever - when I was 23 years old and living in an apartment. No one thought I could turn out a delicious juicy turkey, and I NAILED it. It was incredible. And it looked like the pictures in a magazine!
My cooking tragedies
I still cannot prepare a Roast Beef. I can make pot roast, but whenever I try to make a fancy roast beef, it never comes out tender, juicy, and cooked all the way. The last attempt resulted a few slices from the edge being ok, the next few went into a pan of broth to cook and the remainder was RAW.

Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken
This was SO good. I have found a new favorite fancy dish. I did alter it a little, based on the other reviews. I added some finely diced red onion, some chopped kalamata olives, and a pinch of crushed red pepper. I added more cheese too, to create a sauce type effect to put over orzo pasta that I seasoned with garlic and pepper and lemon. Thanks for a great recipe - Delicious!

No Fail Pound Cake
This is the best cake. I've made it 4 times in 3 weeks, and I can't get enough of it. I have made it with lemon cake, golden butter yellow cake, and regular yellow cake. It is fabulous. I've even toyed with the extracts a little. It tastes better than my grandma's homemade, much to her dismay!

Mayonnaise Biscuits
This was great! I have only made homemade biscuits once before and they were hockey pucks. THese are fluffy, delicious and EASY! I used the reccomendation for what to do without self rising flour, and they rose perfectly and taste delicious! This is definitely my top recipe from here.
