I work as an office manager to fund my interests. Following the "empty nest" shock of no longer running constantly, I have taken to playing in the kitchen! I enjoy baking breads and making soups. Grew up on Hamburger Helper so there were no traditions. Served an awesome cheesecake with lady fingers as the "crust." I cannot now find that recipe; but it was devoured! There are two that stand out - my first bread baking attempt, I killed the yeast by dissolving it in water too hot; the second, made great meatballs for our office party, removed them from the oven and dumped them in my newlywed kitchen. As J. Child would say, "No one will know the difference;" and they didn't!!!
