I was born and raised in Texas,But have been living in Indiana for over 15 years. I am a huge fan of this web-site, since I became a member I have introduced many delicious dinners for my family. I love mexican flavors. My favorite meals to make are Chicken or beef enchiladas, tacos and tostadas. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Our family tradition evey year is to make tamales or Christmas Eve. I help my mom prepare those when she comes to visit. They are a family favorite!! My 8 year old daughter loves cookies, and wants to help me make them. I want to show her how to make them from scratch. So, I recently printed a copy of a recipe and gave it my best shot. They came out pretty good, and we have fun making them together. I still have a hard time cooking brown rice. I seam not to add enough water. So the first couple of time I have tried- it comes out burned! I will keep on trying.
