About this Cook
My name is Shannon. I am a certified baker and i absolutely love to bake. It is not only my career but it is my passion. I have a big family which means there is always an occasion to bake! I am always looking for something new to try. I have used this site several time to do it too! ummmm that's all i can think of to say!
My favorite things to cook
Creme brulee, any form of cake, cookies, tarts, breads, pastries, basically any type of baking!
My cooking triumphs
When i was in school i got the best baking intern job you could possibly imagine because of all my hard work and creativity i put into recipes.... i take baking very seriously but i also have a ton of fun doing it! my boss let me have my fun in the kitchen but also kept me on a strict schedule which caused me to graduate as one of the top of my class!
My cooking tragedies
oh boy. the only tragedy i can think of was my biggest one ever! i was in school and i was new to the baking world and i asked my instructor if the cut out cookie recipe called for 8 eggs or 8 pounds of eggs and she said pounds. i guess i should have made sure i had her attention because it was only 8 eggs and we wound up making over 135 pounds worth of cut out cookies because of it!

Red Velvet Cake I
i give this one four stars because yes it was delicious but i still got the chocolate swirl in the cake even though i made sure i mixed it before hand. not to mention the shelf life of this cake is less than one day. it was delicious if you eat it right away. but i will continue to look for a loner lasting cake1

Sour Cream Banana Cake
i found this cake to be delicious and very moist. even 4 days (in a sealed container) after i made it, it was still delicious! only suggestion is i would measure out the quanity of banana needeed so you know for future reference. this way you don't get inconsistent results!
