My husband and I have two boys, ages 6 and 9. I run our family beef farm, volunteer for local events and charities and enjoy girls nights with friends. They are my greatest supporters for new untested recipes. I'll try anything, but baking really relaxes me more than cooking new dishes. Peanut butter balls every Christmas with my mom. She's an excellent baker, her own nickname is Baker Barb, and has been since we were kids. My sister has mastered Cakes as Art. They are really beautiful. Chocolate - I've mastered several kinds of chocolates (creamed centers)and truffles, as well as barks and candies. I started in college as a part of my hospitality training, we had to do three years of cooking school. That's where I mastered pastries and eclairs....yummy. So far, everything is at least edible, if not very pretty.
