Combo of Cinnamon Rolls III & Clone of a Cinnabon

I tried the overnight rise with limited success. Because they didn't rise enough, they didn't fit snuggly in the pan which caused the outsides to overbake. Well, I have 6 in the freezer. I'll let them rise normally. Absolutely loved the inside and the frosting. I used 1T of Korintje Indonesia Cinnamon and 1 1/2 T of China Cassia Cinnamon (both from Penzeys).

Neat Sloppy Joes

Miracle Green Bean Casserole

I found this to just be an average green bean casserole. Perhaps the problem was the broccoli soup (it was Campbells and not low fat). I made half a recipe so the next day I had the other half of the soup (properly diluted) and I thought it didn't taste good. I'll probably try this again, but I'll use a different soup.

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

This was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. We kept the sauce on the side as not everyone liked it. I'll be using the leftover beef and sauce to make a dinner salad.

Simple Sloppy Joes

This was a really good recipe for my kids. Dh and I have a favorite that includes baked beans, but its not appreciated by the kids. I took this to a potluck and got many positive comments. I used a chopper to make the onions very small and unnoticable to the kids.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This was so easy to make. I've made it with homemade drop biscuits and the refrig biscuits and we like both. I've also used one can of chicken and a different cream soup. We've liked all the variants. We did find 2 cans to be a lot of dumplings.

Modified Roasted Vegetables

I think this could be better if either white potatoes weren't used. They were dry and tasteless. The sweets were nearly overcooked. Perhaps try this without cooking anything else in the oven. Flavors melded nicely in the frig.

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Yum, yum, yum. Everyone loved this recipe, including my picky eater. The picky eater did remove the breading though. I had a bit of trouble with the breading sticking, my pork roast was probably too damp. It didn't reheat the best (in the micro), so I think I'd try to make a smaller roast next time or divide my roast in half before cooking. It froze very well and the issue we'd had earlier with the breading in the microwave was forgotten. (I had about a 3# roast and it made enough for 3 meals for my family of 4.)

Roasted Vegetables

Our favored veggies were the red peppers, then the onions. We had a couple problems with this recipe. The Yukon gold potatoes were very dry and not tasty; some of the sweet potatoes were overdone and mushy. I swapped carrots for the squash (only I barely like squash) and they were cooked perfectly. I also added a few leftover mushrooms for the last 10 minutes and they were excellent. I will say that as I've been reheating the veggies, I really believe the flavors of this recipe are a '5'. The Yukon Golds tho still don't seem to have a lot of flavor. I had huge Yukons, so maybe that was part of the problem.

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

We found this recipe to just be average. It seemed to be missing something. It was better the next day, but I'd like it to taste that good on the first day and get even better. I made the lasagna with no boil noodles - it may be why we didn't think it was so great. I especially noticed on the next day that it was very, very dry. I will try again with regular noodles.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Wow. What great chicken. My entire family loved it, including my picky eaters (ages 6 & 9). I used skinless, boneless breasts and cooked it at 375 for about 45 minutes (which was too long). I used the lower temperature because I was also cooking rice and it required that temperature. We loved the sauce over the rice too.

Applesauce Pork Loin

Everyone loved it. It was moist. I didn't use the rosemary sprigs because I thought my kids (ages 6 & 9) wouldn't like it. My youngest did notice the pepper - I will use less next time.

Overnight Caramel French Toast

We wanted caramel apple french toast, so I used this recipe and added a can of apple pie filling on top of the caramel sauce. The caramel flavor was masked a bit by the apples. It was enjoyed thoroughly by adults and slightly less by the children (ages 6 & 9).

Red Cabbage

I thought this recipe had a bit too much bite for my taste. I'll use less vinegar next time. I used White Balsamic vinegar. My dh liked it more than me. The kids didn't like it at all.

Spinach Quiche

We enjoyed this recipe. I used broccoli rather than spinach due to family preference. I used panko bread crumbs and salted it with BVI Caribbean Seasoning rather than croutons. I also used reduced fat cheese and fat free cottage cheese and it tasted great and was healthier.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Russian Potato Salad

This was a very unique potato salad and a very nice change from the norm. I'd truly rate it about a 3 1/2. July '07 update: I've made this several more times and we really like it. I would say it is definitely a "4" now. I modified it a bit and we like it better. I don't add the onions (we don't like them.) Also, rather than use all dill pickles, I used about 2 1/2 dill pickles chopped up and the same amount of bread and butter pickles chopped up.
