About this Cook
read, cook, rock climb, musician, reluctant college student.
My favorite things to cook
veggies! weird ones are a fave. i like to vegetarian-ize non-veg stuff. i get fresh produce from bountifulbaskets.org. every week's fruits and veggies are a surprise, and i like the challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
pecan pie with mama!
My cooking triumphs
vegan mac and cheese that is actually GOOD, seitan's ribs, throwin' stuff together when i'm delerious from hunger and it magically comes out amazing.
My cooking tragedies
cornmeal masala brussel sprouts-blegh. only time i have ever thrown out food.

Polish Cabbage Noodles
this was yum! cut butter to 1/4 cup, used 12 oz package of noodles. later that night, mixed some leftovers with thai-style peanut sauce, soy sauce, and leftover steamed greens--instant asian! the recipe was so neutral, it could be made over for leftovers in countless ways. thank you!
