About this Cook
I grew up loving to cook and continue to spend lots of time in the kitchen. I have a daughter who is constantly wanting to make some treats. We enjoy making weekly treats for her teachers.
My favorite things to cook
I love making desserts. Cookies, bars, candies, homemade ice cream. You name it! Christmas in my kitchen is non stop baking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up at Christmas my mom would have lots of Christmas cookies we would all make each year. As kids we loved doing cut out cookies, each picking cookie cutters, once they were cooked and cooled we would frost and decorate.
My cooking triumphs
It seems every time I take a dessert somewhere, the recipe is always requested! My homemade cinnamon rolls are always a winner!
My cooking tragedies
Toffee is my biggest let down. I have been trying for years to make a great toffee like you can buy and just can't seem too do it! Can anyone help???

Absolutely Best Brownies
These were super easy to make and taste awesome!!! I followed another reviewers advice on making the self rising flour as I didn't have any. They turned out perfect...just a little chewy which I love. I added chocolate chips to the batter. Will definately make again!

Gourmet Caramel Apples
These area awesome! I love caramel apples and have been looking for the perfect recipe! My 11 year old daughter and I made them for her teachers for Halloween and we dipped pretzel rods for her class. We followed recipe exactly except we rolled in different candies and didn't use the shortening in the chocolate. Very time consuming but definately worth it!

Oat Bran Bread
This bread is AWESOME! I only had 1 cup of bread flour so used that plus 1 1/4 c. ww flour. Also added 1/4 c. flaxseed mill and 1/4 c. sunflower seeds. Put all ingred. in breadmachine on dough cycle, then took out and let rise in bread pan until doubled and baked. This bread was very soft in the middle with a crusty top....delicious, definately will make again!
