Too good! Used two different boxed cake mixes and frostings. Next time I think I will make my own homemade cakes just so I can take all the credit on Thanksgiving :) YES it is time consuming but its all in your attitude. It was a lot of fun getting messy rolling the cake balls. Best if made the day before because I did have to freeze the balls before rolling them in chocolate (they were too soft) In the end WORTH the time and mess. Just have a positive attitude and be ready for all the compliments!

VERY good! A must have every morning in my house! Instead of anise I used vanilla extract and lemon juice and added a little cinnamon. Also sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar before toasting. Yum!

Very good and EASY! My mother told me not to even attempt a dessert roll, but I am glad I did! I added cloves and nutmeg and mixed chopped pecans in the icing. I have 3 brothers and 2 cousins over so this dessert was gone in 5 mins! I suggest doubling for larger families. Also next time I think I will try adding ginger. Overall great recipe and EASY!
