Christmas cookies! Every year we bake a ton of Christmas cookies to both keep and give away.
My cooking triumphs
Meats:
Roasted pork chops with apples and cider over kale, stuffed chicken breasts, fried chicken fingers.
Soups: spicy black bean, bean and bacon, vegetable beef, butternut squash, pumpkin, loaded baked potato, chicken and rice, turkey noodle, mushroom and wild rice.
My cooking tragedies
I learned very vividly not to add milk or cream to boiling things until after I was done boiling them. Totally ruined the presentation of a gorgeous pork roast with apple and cranberries and lightly creamed kale. The kale curdled. Ugh.
