I always follow recipes exactly, so I don't know why this one didn't turn out for me. My dough was soo sticky. Even after chilling it. They didn't taste as gingery too me as I expected. Maybe I was thinking of ginger snaps. They were more like molasses cookies. They didn't look anything like the picture. Maybe I was having bad cookie kharma, but I've never had a cookie recipe turn out such a flop. Sorry.

This was really good and made a great gravy to put on potatoes or rice. Only 4 stars because the meat was still tough, but I let simmer in the sauce for an extra 20 min. and that helped. Also, the flaming brandy bit made me nervous. Might try it w/o the brandy or maybe just add a little bit of red wine. All together it just seem much different than other meat and gravy recipe. I was expecting more WOW.

I was needing this to resurrect some leftover sweet potatoes. Turned out great. Topping is crunchy and sweet. Although I am personally not big on sweet (a little too much for me, didn't eat topping) others liked it. Will use it again.
