I am the cook in my house, and my wife is a picky eater so i am trying to find new flavors and newer styles of cooking. We don't have any children and we both LOVE spices and FLAVORS. I'm always mixing and trying and sometimes failing but i always eat my mistakes as how sometimes i find the solution mid-bite. :) Lemon pepper chicken baked with garlic mashed potatoes and fried green beans and corn yum :) My favorite tradition would be my moms appetizer trays. I loved helping with the cheese balls and slicing vegetables and what not... my most recent was this past Wednesday (11/5/2009) i made lemon pepper chicken and oven fries and i needed something else and i decided i would try a pasta although i didnt have anything, so i played connect the dots and with some butter, sourcream, garlic, parmesan(grated) and egg noodles. I was so nervous that i didnt want to taste it but to my surprise it was my first (from scratch) creation that didnt fail. oh my...there was this one cake,that goodness forsaken cake... it was july 4th and i had this idea...i made a classic white cake (2 layers)died blue with cut sweetened strawberries as a fruit layer and cream cheese icing. RED, WHITE, and BLUE...but something happened and the cake didnt cooperate and the center of the cake sunk in and the layer slid off. it was a pure disaster...good idea gone bad
