About this Cook
I live on the Space Coast with my 7 year old daughter.
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake-my daughter's school has a bake sale every week, so we get to try all kinds of recipes. I love to make my homemade mashed potatoes, my chicken paprika, and my chili. Lately my cobbler recipes have been in big demand at the workplace - it seems I'm cooking a cobble a week!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Christmas cookie time. I set up two tray tables in the living room, we put on a holiday movie, and I let my daughter cut out the cookies on the tables...then I bake 'em and let them decorate. We keep the crock pots going with appetizers all night long...my brother even got over himself and actually had a good time with it!
My cooking triumphs
The turkey recipe from this site - Turkey, the Michigander way. It NEVER fails. Also, I created a coating for chicken out of crushed parmesean chips with garlic and butter..
My cooking tragedies
I bought some pre-spiced ribs at the local store. As I cooked them I thought they didn't smell right, but hey, maybe it was the seasoning. After I served them, we found out that no, it wasn't the seasoning, they were BAD...Threw out everything and ordered Chinese. Very expensive night.

Cranberry Sauce I
Oh my gosh...I just made this and it is TERRIFIC! It has a little tartness and that orange-y sweetness...I'll never buy canned again, that's for sure.

Banana Banana Bread
I added mini chocolate chips in the batter and on the top-it was a smash at my office potluck and at home as well. Moist, flavorful, and easy to make...we're already waiting for the bananas to get 'just right' to make this again!

Chicken Bog
I omitted th Italian seasoning-my ex from SC never used that. I did add sliced up hard boiled eggs like he did and used jalepeno ring sausage in it. Great!
