About this Cook
I'm 31 from Tampa, FL & now I can be found in Pigeon Forge, TN. I've been on this site for about 7 years now. I love it. It's pretty much the only cooking site I will use.
My favorite things to cook
I'm very partial to casserole & slow cooker recipes. I also love baking, too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is the elder of our family. She makes the one big family favorite we call Chicken & Biscuits. I have not met a single soul who has had it & didn't like it. She's the only one in the family as of yet that knows exactly how to make it. The biscuits are jelly roll style with cheese in them. I've been trying to get the recipe for years now. She'll come off it some day! :)
My cooking tragedies
My worst (and dumbest) mistake was making a tuna casserole & forgetting the tuna. DUH!!!! It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have company that night, lol!

Beef Marinade I
I've made this twice now & this is the best marinade I've ever used. I admit, I did use it as a base and I changed a few things. For our tastes, I use garlic (minced & sliced) instead of cloves, 1/2c olive oil & 1c vegetable oil, red pepper flakes & after the first time I made it, I now omit the salt. I also forgot the vinegar the first time, too, and it was still good. We've used it on kebabs, it is so tasty. My husband loves it!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
We thought these were excellent! I had about 1/2 block of mozzarella I had to use so I cut that up instead of cheese sticks & used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I also double dipped mine & set the temp on my fryer at 350 (they wouldn't have been browned enough otherwise). Overall, good recipe. Beats store bought.

Herbed Corn
Yum! What an easy way to zip up the corn. I used Italian flat leaf parsley & used fresh minced garlic instead. Every bit of it was gone. This is a great recipe & I'll make this again.
