About this Cook
A moderately rotund bearded individual looking to get into the video game design industry. This seems a little far off, but that's what dreams are for, right?
My favorite things to cook
Definitely stir fry. Man, that stuff is so insanely quick, cheap, easy and delicious that if only it was healthier I'd probably eat it all the time forever.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The family makes a fair amount of own-brew recipes, such as the current and past champion 'cut and thrust', a moist teacake served spread with butter. This has recently been upgraded to 'nut and thrust' with the addition of hazelnuts to the mix and walnuts on top.
My cooking triumphs
Some odd experiments with my ex-housemate Damon, including the ToBaPo sandwich, a tomato, bacon and mashed potato grilled sandwich, the tacofaggot bake, taking Mr. Brain's Pork Faggots, mixing taco spices into the gravy and then covering them in mash and cheese to bake. Comes out crazy delicious.
My cooking tragedies
Far too many to list, but the most recent was thoroughly fudging a naan recipe in some way that made the dough come out of the breadmaker more akin to PVA glue than dough. Still don't know how, as I can't think where I got the measurements wrong.

Campbell's(R) Slow Cooker Hearty Beef and Bean Chili
Definitely needed more flavour. The heat was there, and you can't go wrong with the base ingredients, but when the pot was opened, it was all fire and no flavour.

Chicken Scampi II
This was some pretty danged good chicken. Having not had the restaurant meal this is based on, I wasn't sure how it was supposed to turn out. I halved the fat, and added chicken stock after the chicken had turned white. Still could have done with some more sauce, so next time I'll add more stock and a little more margarine.

Fish Fillets Italiano
A pretty good and extremely simple dish. I left out the olives, as I can't stand them, and substituted chicken stock and a dash of lemon juice for the wine, as we had none at the time, but it turned out really well. If I were to make it again, it would probably have slightly more seasoning, but as it was, this dish was good enough for me to consider it again.
