About this Cook
I'm a full time college student but I always manage to find time for great food! I've been cooking since I was little, but my food definitely tastes better now :)
My favorite things to cook
I love experimenting in the kitchen. In a small town like mine it can be hard to find some of those ingredients though so I definitely have my loyal stand-byes. I'm a sucker for Italian and comfort foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother taught me how to cook. she was born and raised in Tennessee so my cooking is really inspired by the South. But, my grandfather was from Canada so I can't help but to incorporate those traditions as well.
My cooking triumphs
I make the best cheesecake and homemade alfredo sauce anybody i know has ever eaten :)
My cooking tragedies
I once made a batch of cookies using salt instead of white sugar... Worst thing ever!

Basic Pizza Crust
This was a great dough; super easy and tasty. I like to add a combination of herbs to my dough depending on what the toppings will be. With this recipe I made a grilled chicken and roasted garlic pizza and added the Pampered Chef rosemary & Herb seasoning mix. There were so many great layers of flavor. Absolutely delicious!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies live up to their title! I was looking for a recipe that would produce soft gooey cookies that would stay that way for more than an hour. I made a batch and got about 4 dozen cookies, they lasted almost a week in our house and were still just as gooey as the day I baked them. This is a great recipe!

Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken
This made a great gourmet meal for my mom's birthday, especially with a few modifications. We added garlic and herb feta, Parmesan cheese, and garlic. We also threw in a few extra fresh herbs like rosemary, parsley, chives, and sage. I served it topped with a wild mushroom gratin and it was a huge hit!
