About this Cook
I am your average happy go lucky 33 year old. Been married to my husband for just over 3 years. We have one son who turned one back in September. He keeps us busy. When I am not busy with my son I like to try out new recipes and have found all recipes to make me the hit of company potlucks so I thought it was about time I joined!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make desserts and salads. Not so good and making meat dishes unless it involves hamburger but I am working on that.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father is 100% italian and so anything italian is a tradition in my family. I only wish that I made everything homemade like my grandmother did.
My cooking triumphs
I would have to say my biggest cooking triumph would be making my spaghetti sauce. I like to let it cook all day, and it is my husbands favorite thing I make and I am proud of it because it is the only thing I have never followed a recipe for.
My cooking tragedies
When I was about 20 or so my mother called home and asked me to preheat the oven and take the meatloaf from the fridge and put it in the oven for her. I did exactly that. That night at dinner everyone was wondering what the plasticky flim over their meatloaf was... She never told me to take off the saranwrap! Opps! Now I know.

Sausage Cups
This is a party pleaser, but to save myself some time I cooked the sausage up then threw it in a small crockpot with the rest of the ingredients (I also add chopped black olives and red peppers to my mixture) and then served it with tostito scoops instead. Always a hit and much easier prep!

Classic Yorkshire Pudding
This recipe reminded me exactly of my mother's yorkshire pudding. It turned out crispy on top and bottom and soft in the middle just how I like it. Was delicious with our pot roast dinner. The only thing I did differently was baked it in a medium sized frying pan instead of a 9x13 as that was how my mother always made hers.
