About this Cook
I live in North Carolina. I love to read, play with my children, and listening to music.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, my favorite is Baked Potato and Broccoli soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, I love the traditional turkey, homemade gravy, homemade dressing, and veggies that were hand picked, shucked, hulled and preserved for the winter, just like the Thanksgiving my mom made.
My cooking triumphs
As I said before I love soups and different kinds. I and a friend were eating potato soup one day at a restaurant. We were discussing how good the soup was and a thought came to my head "what if broccoli was added" so, later In my kitchen I made baked potato and broccoli soup!
My cooking tragedies
LOL! I remember making peanut brittle for the first time and dummy me put it in a glass pyrex dish, needless to say, it didn't get eaten 'cuz it stuck to the glass! Had to microwave it a good while to loosen it up!

Banana Pudding IV
I have made this recipe "as is". It is very rich and creamy. I thought it tasted like "pudding" that you mix from the box along with cream cheese. You hardly taste the bananas. I know this isn't like the traditional banana pudding. The traditional one does not call for pudding mix.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust
My children request pizza every Friday. When I found this recipe I stopped buying pizza. This dough makes a huge crust and is delicious! I have made fruit pizza using this crust and it turns out very well too

Donut Muffins
I made these miniature muffins for our Sunday School class and the boys and girls gobbled them up. Only one looked at them and said "I don't think I'll like 'em". I said the only way to know is to taste it. That little boy took a tiny bite, then another, then another....he never said if he liked it only the wrapper was left!
