My kids loved this recipe. I wouldn't consider it true gingerbread, but they were delicious and the dough was very easy to work with when kept chilled. The icing was a great consistency for piping as well.

Classic Tiramisu

YUM, this tiramisu was out of this world. It was even better on day two, after the flavors melded. Definitely a keeper! I made my own lady fingers, but that's probably not neccesary.

Crumb Apple Pie

This pie filling was terrific. I sliced the apples super thin so that they were very soft after cooking. I also added a couple tsp. of flour to the mixture as some suggested. I used dark brown sugar in the crumb topping which made it ugly, so next time I would use light brown. I will also go a little lighter on the amount of topping because it was a little too sweet for my taste. But, overall it was really good and everyone liked it.

Pumpkin Chiffon Pie I

This pie was a big hit at Thanksgiving. My family isn't big on traditional pumpkin pie, but they LOVED LOVED this pie. It was light and smooth.

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

This quiche was very yummy. I doubled the recipe and slow cooked it at 350 in a 13x9 pan. To remove the water from the mushrooms and soften up the onions, I sauteed them a little bit before adding to the eggs. The people at the party couldn't believe that this was my first quiche. I made it with a mashed potato crust (from another recipe here). I will definitely make this one again. Yum, Yum..

Spice Cake I

Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach

These mushrooms were fantastic and went quickly. I loved them and will definitely make them again. I used 3/4 c of fresh spinach but next time I will probably use a whole cup. I might also make 1 1/2 times the filling so I can pile it on high. Also a good tip would be to sautee the mushrooms before baking to get the extra water out of them. They were kind of messy to eat with the juice dripping out of them.

Dijonnaise Chicken

This chicken was delicious, it stayed moist and everyone loved it. I didn't have any lemon pepper so I used my dried dill with lemon. I also sprinkled a little parmesan/ramano cheese on top. I cut it up and put it over rice the next day for lunch! I would probably add this to a tossed salad too. I will definitely make this again.

Coconut Custard Pie III

This pie was very yummy, lots of coconut. Everyone loved it! I replaced a 1/2 cup of milk with heavy cream, used fresh ground nutmeg, a dash of cinnamon and a homemade pie crust. I also used a little less sugar because my shredded coconut was sweetened. I will definately make this again, it took very little time.

Best Moist Chocolate Cake

I made this cake for my son's birthday. It was my first homemade chocolate cake and it came out great, everyone loved it. It had a wonderful flavor and wouldn't even need frosting. I did use butter instead of margarine, I'm not sure what the difference would be. I will definately make this again.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

This chicken was sooo yummy... I cooked the chicken in a frying pan, since it was coated with butter anyway. I also didn't put mustard powder in the bread crumbs, I added dijon mustard to the butter mixture.. it gave it a very nice flavor. Everyone loved it!! thank you Jennifer.

Renaissance Stuffed Mushrooms

These mushrooms were sooo good, they went very fast. I could have filled antoher 6 mushrooms with the extra filling. Instead of wasting the extra filling I served it as dip with pretzles yum, yum.. I also added 2 more dashes of hot sauce for a little extra kick.

Everyone loved this dish... it received rave reviews. I replaced the wine with chicken broth and didn't have celery salt on hand. I doubled the sauce like suggested and was glad I did!

This was a really good recipe. My red wine was a little too strong and overpowered the meal, I will try mixing in 1/2 water the next time. The meat sauce tasted so good by itself that I will use that as a base for pasta sauce, or even in sheperd's pie.

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

These pancakes are great!!! very nice texture and delicious. I've made them quite a few times.. to one batch I added a 1/2 cup of shredded granny smith apple, they were really good. to another batch I added a 1/2 cup of mashed banana and omitted the cinnamon, these were also very good. My kids loved them!

Country Oatmeal Cookie in a Jar

My two boys (ages 9 and 2) and I made 5 of these jars for christmas gifts. They were a part of a basket filled with a pot holder, a mixing spoon, a dish towel, and a personalized mug with a tea bag...They came out great and were so much fun to make. As an extra special touch I also put into the baskets pictures of the boys making the jars, the gifts were a huge success! thank you!!
