I managed to incorporate everyone's "traditional" foods and it was a hit! One Thanksgiving, the turkey would not get done. (I think it was still a bit frozen). We were supposed to eat dinner at 3 and ended up eating at something like 7pm. (my famous salsa and chips was tiding us over)
