About this Cook
I'm a mother of 3 boys 16, 11, and 6. I've been married for going on 7yrs. He is wonderful he accepted my 2 sons as his own. I have just moved to the soutern area of the Silicon Valley and I am learning a new altitude of cooking and baking, since I am a native Coloradan. So far I love the change. I am very quirky according to my closest friends and I'm looking for new ones in this area. I love to bake more than I love to cook but either one I have so far been successful in. MY husband and I agree that there has been only 1 meal that was totaly botched since He and I have been together.
My favorite things to cook
Shepherds pie with lamb, lemon pepper chicken, steaks, fried potato's, garlic lovers chicken, hamburger pies, Italian foods, Hispanic foods etc. Cakes, cookies, pies, biscotti's, jelly rolls, candies, truffles etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother Ellen taught me how to cook from scratch I will cook no other way.
My cooking triumphs
I recently was in Victory Outreach Denvers Womens Recovery Home, They had a bake sale. I spent the whole night prior baking though the other sisters tried to stay up and help they wound up going to bed but I managed to help the home have a successful bake sale, thanks be to God. My three layer chocolate lovers tier sold for $35.
My cooking tragedies
The one bad dinner I had made for my husband was a recipe I enjoyed with my second pregnancy. I use to take tamalies cover them with cream of mushroom soup and lots of cheese. I had decided to try it being I had not ate it in a long while, it was horrendous. We were only dating at the time, I was suprise that he even came back to see me.
