I'm a 27 happy go lucky kinda gal. I'd like to think of myself as a foodie... not too picky and likes to try new things. I love baking for friends and family and watching them enoy the things i make. Spending time with friends having appys and martinis are always fun. My friends and i love sushi movie nights.. almost a weekly must have! With food aside i enjoy walking my dog, going to concerts, sporting events, the theater, bike riding and swimming. For some strange reason i absolutely love grocery shopping when most really hate it. i like buying new things and seeing what i can do with them. i also enjoy shopping for purses, a girl can never have enough and my logic is you can grow in and out of clothes but a purse always fits! I love good jokes and good friendly people to enjoy them with. AND i love watching the foodnetwork.
My favorite things to cook
in all honesty i enjoy cooking most things, but most especially i love baking birthday cakes for family and friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
as a kid growing up we really didnt have much of a cooking tradition with my mom, but at christmast when she would finish all her baking she would make my dad, sister and i up a goodie plate and we would watch a christmas storey and stuff our faces with nanaimo bars, date squares, melting shortbread and butter tarts!
My cooking triumphs
i have always love love LOVED when my mom would make yokshire puttings with her delicious roast beef dinners we would have for sunday supper.. so i attemped yokshire putting myself when i was craving them with dinner one night and low and behold first try super puffy and golden...they didnt even flop when i took them outta the oven! it was a very proud moment i almost didnt want to eat them and come to think of it i should have took a picture!! lol!
My cooking tragedies
i attempted a pumpkin pie from scratch when i was about 15/16 years old... everything looked fine and smelt fine when it when into the oven but for some reason no matter how long you cooked the sucker it wouldnt go solid... it was a pile of goop. i must have over shot something or didnt add something and to this day have never made another pumpkin pie. ill roast pumpkin seeds and thats the extent of my pumpkin anything!!
