About this Cook
I am a father of three and a husband to one. I love my family more than anything in this world. Cooking was handed down to me by both of my parents. They were excellent cooks in their own rights, and I grew up helping them cook, so I naturally adopted a love of cooking and baking from an early age. Now that I'm a dad, I enjoy sharing those memories with my kids and teaching them to be good cooks!
My favorite things to cook
I am always making healthy, wholesome meals. From scrambled eggs and turkey bacon in the mornings to Roasted Lamb with vegetables and fresh herbs on occasion, I am a fairly well-rounded cook. I have recently taken on baking bread - a fairly intimidating undertaking for me for some reason, but one which I have readily grasped fairly quickly. The family LOVES my chili, but I'm confident in saying that they love just about everything I have ever made.

Texas BBQ Chicken
I don't know what kind of puny chickens the author is used to cooking, but when I cooked my split chicken breasts by these directions (35 min. @ 350°) the chicken was nowhere near done. I cooked it an additional 30 minutes @ 350° because that's what another recipe said it needed. Turns out that was exactly what it needed. Also, I didn't use this recipe for the sauce. Instead I used store bought (KC Masterpiece) which my family loves. Adjusting the cooking time (by doubling it) made this recipe work well enough, so I give it three out of five stars.
