About this Cook
As a military brat I've had the opportunity to live all over...from Louisiana, Guam, California, Florida, Mississippi, and now Colorado! I'm a southerner and like my tea SWEET!! I'm a wife and a mom to a 15month old! I work full time outside the home so family time is precious to me. I feel lucky to have a husband that likes to cook and bake as well so it doesn't always fall solely on my shoulders. I've been trying to get back into the kitchen a lot more lately. I love finding new recipes to try, although I can be picky, I'm getting better as I'm knocking on 30's door.
My favorite things to cook
BBQ, Mexican, Italian, and anything that I can throw into the crockpot. I love coming home and smelling dinner awaiting me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up I remember decorating cookies at Christmas and have started this my own family now. Candy Cane Cookies are a must :)
My cooking tragedies
Lol, living at high altitude has it ups and downs (literally)! The one that sticks out the most was when I was in a rush making cupcakes for my hubby for his birthday and poured all the cake mix into 12 muffin cups instead of doing 2 batches of 12! When I pulled the muffin pan out it was one big sheet of cake!! They tasted fine but sure were hard to ice after I had to cut the tops off and weren't pretty either. I don't think I'll live that one down.

French Onion Soup III
My hubs actually made this one. He's the French Onion Fan in the house. We both thought it was good. Only change we made was subbed Provolone Cheese for the Swiss cheese because that's what we had at home. Will make again

No-Cook Never-Fail Fudge
WOW! This was seriously the best and most creamy fudge I've ever had! My hubby actually made this recipe. He thought I was crazy to even suggest it and he was very heistant because he LOVES his own fudge recipe! But he LOVED IT as well! We didn't tell anyone what was in it and they all loved it as well. After we told them the secret ingredient they didn't believe us and kept on eating it! We 1/2 the recipe down and I recommend doing that as well! VERY easy to make! This is definitely going on the Christmas plates! Thanks for a great fudge recipe!!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.
These were so GOOD! I did have a small issue with the cookie dough, but I live at a high altitude and have issues with Chocolate Chip Cookies! But they still tasted great (just didn't rise up)! Next time I think I'll use my tried-and-true recipe for the cookie! I also made these a second time with devils food cake and my peanut butter cookie recipe! Thanks for a great and versitle recipe! My family LOVES them! I was eating them breakfast *grin*
