Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake
I just made this cake following the recipe exactly except that I subbed mini chocolate chips for the regular ones and grand marnier for the coffee flavored liqueur. I made two 8" rounds and frosted with chocolate ganache recipe (posted by taste of home test kitchen?) from this site. The cake turned out extremely chocolaty rich (in a bad way) and not that moist. To be honest it was gross. There was also a strong alcohol flavor. I read rave reviews which is why i chose to make this cake. I wonder if i did something wrong, maybe overcooked it? The cake was easy to make, but I won't make it again. It was not great at all.
