I spend most of my days curled up on the couch with a crochet hook in one hand, a ball of yarn in the other, a glass of iced tea on the table, '80s music on the radio, a calico cat by my side, and a black cat on my lap. I am really focusing a lot of my time on baking. I love to make cute cupcakes and cookies. I am also trying to cook healthier and more vegetarian foods. My great aunt made some of the greatest food. Every time I make her zucchini bread it always reminds me of visiting her in Pittsburgh. My grandmother always made pierogies and sauerkraut on New Year's Eve. I am starting to carry on that tradition. Last year I made my first apple pie, from scratch, That was a huge accomplishment! Unfortunately, I have more of these than triumphs, but I'm working on it!
