I just moved from North Carolina all the way to California! I love to bake. My boyfriend cooks, so I decided to take up baking. I love allrecipes.com! I have biscuits in the oven as we speak... My parents weren't huge on cooking, but when they did we always had delicious meals. They're good at cooking the basics, meat and potatoes people. But man can we EAT! I made my first SUCCESSFUL cake the other day! A Chocolate Torte. I was very proud of myself. I made my brother a birthday cake a few years back, a Black Forest if I recall. It turned out so wrong that you could actually bounce pieces of it off the counter. Like rubber! I was discouraged and haven't tried baking since...until now!
