Our Family
About this Cook
I am the homeschooling mom of six kiddos. I have been married for 16 years. I help catch babies at home or help moms at the hospital. Cooking is a part of our life and it THRILLS me to watch my kids learning!
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast is my favorite meal. But i also love to cook ethnic food, southern food and mediterannean food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just being together in the kitchen and enjoying each other!
My cooking triumphs
Anything that they eat is a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married, I wanted to please my new husband. So, I bought some shrimp from the market. I had NO idea how to cook it and I figured it must be cooked already so I peeled it and served it to him when he got home. (My mom had never served shrimp). He strongly suggested I boil it and wow then it looked like what you get at a restaurant...soooo not a tragedy exactly but definintely a funny story!

Southern Grilled Barbecued Ribs
LOVE IT! I followed this recipe exactly and it is GREAT! It is the middle of January so I used my indoor grill...what a treat to have BBQ in front of a fire!

Cheesy Beef Macaroni
Fast, Easy, Tasty! I have a family of 8 - sometimes 12 depending on who brings an extra kid home!! So I doubled this recipe....I don't recommend doubling the velveeta - maybe just add 12 ounces instead of 16. Otherwise this was great and the family ate it up!
