About this Cook
I'm still new to all this cooking stuff :) I never had to learn how until I got married, but over time I've really grown to enjoy it a lot.
My favorite things to cook
Good old fashioned Southern food and Italian are my 2 favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I LOVE holiday cooking. It's what makes it my favorite time of year!
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made the PERFECT peach cobbler. It was probably the best thing I ever cooked, lol. I also make a pretty tasty Chicken Parmisan dish too.
My cooking tragedies
Probably the worst thing I've done, was when I was attempting to make blueberry muffins from scratch. Like an idiot, I was measuring vanilla into a teaspoon...over the bowl of batter. Well, tragically, I spilled too much vanilla. I decided to bake them and hope for the best. They were beautful, but completely inedible :(

Chicken Pot Pie IX
Seriously, probably the best thing I ever cooked. This is a WONDERFUL recipe. I followed other's advice and upped the sauce a little, probably by 1/2. I also just used a cup of frozen mixed vegetables instead of just peas. I added a bouillion cube to the veggies while they were boiling. I used the Pillsbury ready -made pie crusts and brushed the bottom with egg white and baked for 5 minutes before I added the filling- I also brushed the top with egg white. I also lowered the temp to 375 and baked for 40 minutes. After 30min the top looked like it was browning a bit too much so I covered with foil. In the end, it looked great, and tasted AMAZING. I certainly will be making this again- despite the long prep time.

Sugar Cookie Icing
The recipe was a little too thick to begin with, I had to add a couple extra teaspoons of milk in order to achieve the correct consistency. Once that was done however, the icing came out beautiful. My Husband LOVED the icing, I wasnt too crazy about the almond extract taste though. I will definitely be making it again though, it made my cookies look great!
