About this Cook
I'm 23 years old, I love to cook. I just don't have alot of time. So far I make alot of casseroles and quick 20 minute recipes. Trying to get away from Hamburger Helper.
My favorite things to cook
I love to BAKE. I love to decorate cakes. And I have a soft spot for Italian foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother's southern cooking. I love to have my grits, with brown sugar and butter for breakfast, and some good fried chicken and greens!
My cooking triumphs
Successfully cooking for a diabetic! Trying to get all the flavor out of low carb/low fat dishes.
My cooking tragedies
Tuna Casserole. LOL I will say no more. My husband said it was the worst he'd ever eaten. I have no idea what I even did to it. I admit it was gross.

Marshmallow Treats
My treats turned out moist, and gooey. Just like they should. No teeth busters here. I did follow the suggestions in some of the other reviews. And used 11.5 cups of cereal to a 16 ounce bag of marshmallow, and a whole stick of butter. This worked out so well. Everyone has loved them. Will make again and again.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak
I really enjoyed this. But my husband thought it was bland. I thought it was a healthy alternative in comparison to others that I've tried that is mostly a gravy. I liked this alot...because of the mix of flavors, Also please note, this dish is even better the second day after a night marinating in the fridge!!!

Pizza Casserole
Very good recipe. My family liked it alot. Next time I will make sure to drain any extra grease off......I usually get 97% lean, not alot to drain, but the pepperoni adds ALOT of oil to the recipe. I will partially cook the pepperoni next time and drain the grease. I also used extra cheese. Other wise is delicious.
