About this Cook
My philosophy in life is simple. If it's empty-fill it. If it's full-empty it. If it itches-scratch it.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new flavors and different ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
s'mor-guess-borge! Empty everything from the fridge out on to the table and feast. Also in my family when we cook a turkey, all the women gather in the kitchen and eat the crunchy roasted skin off of it before it ever leaves the kitchen. (the best part)
My cooking triumphs
I've made homemade fudge with a can of beans, turned out awesome.
My cooking tragedies
I hate burning things. I ruined a batch of apricot jam by scorching it.

Baked Ziti with Sausage
this turned out great! thanks for sharing, I made mine without the ricotta and just added extra mozarella. Excellent recipe.

Sugar Glazed Walnuts
cinnamon and vanilla. I also added nutmeg, cloves, allspice and some chipotle powder for kick. These were fabulous. I love that you can do these in the microwave. My family scarfed these down, and now I have to go crack more walnuts.

Chili I
This was great in my slowcooker. I used dried beans which I started the night before. I added homemade canned roasted tomatoes. The beer and chocolate were inspired ingredients. By far my favorite chili recipe. thank you so much for sharing!
