About this Cook
I'm the Substitution Queen! Rarely do I follow recipes, rather use them as a guideline. I love experimenting with my cooking and trying new techniques. Always on the look-out for new recipes to try!
My favorite things to cook
I like creating masterpieces out of the things on hand - even if I don't have much to work with.
My cooking triumphs
My proudest cooking achievement is my ability to stuff meats - chicken breasts, pork tenderloin, you name it!! I've created many delicious combinations of stuffings/meats/breading and they are always delicious. It's my go-to dinner choice!
My cooking tragedies
Once tried a recipe for creamed spinach. Tried scaling the recipe down a bit but somehow went HORRIBLY wrong. It ended up as this nasty flour-tasting soup. Definitely my worse recipe flop... my boyfriend has never let me live it down!!!

Potato Chip Cookies
I was really excited to try this recipe, but was a little disappointed in the end. I followed the recipe exactly and ended up with a crumbly mix - I had to add an egg so that the dough would actually form and hold a shape. The cookies turned out great, but they were very heavy and rather bland. They reminded me of oatmeal cookies, both in taste and texture. I don't know how so many people say these cookies taste like shortbread - mine were NOTHING close to shortbread by any stretch of the imagination. If I did try making these again, I would definitely add some cinnamon or brown sugar to add more flavor. And I would use less potato chips.

Burly Burger
Yum yum yum!! I'm so happy to see so many people enjoy this recipe - I make these all the time and thought that I was the only one! I like to throw a burger patty onto my George Foreman grill, crack an egg into the frying pan, and prepare my toast while the two are cooking. The burger and egg end up done at the same time and I have a hot, delicious sandwich ready in 10 minutes! Onions and jalapenos are my favourite toppings. I do prefer to cook my egg over-medium though, to make the sandwich a little less messy. Over-medium still gives me creamy yolks, without dripping all over the place.

Jagerschnitzel
This is me and my fiance's favourite use for pork tenderloin! I cut a tenderloin in half and pound out each piece until 1/2" thick. Although I know it's supposed to be fried, we prefer ours baked (using a cooking rack on a cooking tray) 35 mins @ 375 degrees.
