I Live near Oneonta, NY with my husband (we're newly-weds) and our 3 cats. My Husband (Joe) and I both have careers with NY state thru Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
My favorite things to cook
anything in the slow-cooker, beef, chicken, pork, fish, seafood; I also love to bake and I cake decorate as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookie cutouts- been doing this right after thanksgiving since I was old enough to remember. Also participate in making a 5th generation family fruit cake with my Grandmother. Venison stew in Oct- Mar.
My cooking triumphs
I went to Culinary school for a year, before transferring to food science. I really loved the butchering class we had to take, really has helped me out in my own cooking. Also love baking and pastry class.
