I cannot believe this recipe! I am one of those women who loves a late night snack after the hubby and kids are in bed. Naturally, my favorite sweet treat is a well-made chocolate chip cookie. I belong to the "thick and chewy" camp rather than the "thin and crispy." I had been having bad luck with thin cookies, so I turned to this website for guidance. This recipe promised to be cakey and delicious. But lo and behold, when the cookies finally emerged from the oven, they were completely thin! I couldn't believe it. Not only that, they took unbelievably long to bake (fifteen minutes)! I was very disappointed. I had been so looking forward to some thick, chocolate goodness, and instead, I got the usual greasy, crunchy mess. I just don't understand what went wrong. Of course, my daughters and husband had to eat all of them, and I was left at midnight with an unfulfilled craving for something delicious. I've been driven to boxed cookies from Safeway. Perhaps others will have more luck?
