About this Cook
I have alway loved cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I have a husband, two dogs, and an infant, who all like my cooking most of the time.
My favorite things to cook
I started off baking as a child became popular among my family for my desserts. I've graduated to making dinner type meals, and as a newly wed making weekly dinner plans. I enjoy trying to come up with original ideas for cooking, although I'm still a novice at that.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas always consisted of our family getting together for a large gathering with a spread of food that even just a little sample of everything didn't leave room on your plate in just one trip.
My cooking triumphs
My first Thanksgiving dinner I cooked included apple-wood smoked turkey breast tenderloin, seasoned green beans, stuffing with cranberries and pecans, and pumpkin pie with pecan topping. It was delicious and was done in under 3 hours!(with the exception of the pie, which was made the day before).
My cooking tragedies
Chewy salmon.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Fantastic! I omitted the nuts (personal preference) and baked for 15 minutes instead of 12 and they are amazing. I dont know why everyone else is having to add more flour but mine turned out great! Thanks for sharing this recipe! Def will make this my "go to" oatmeal cookie recipe :)

Momma's Sloppy Joes
These are good and easy. A little strong on the yellow mustard flavor, but hubby liked it a lot! I like that they're made with turkey. It's still very meaty, but not greasy like ground beef would be.

Salisbury Steak
This was good enough I'll make it again. Maybe next time I'll add mushrooms to the sauce. The gravy was a bit scarce for the amount of meat.
