I've made this cookie many times and never had an issue with it. These are a big favorite around the house. The last time I made two dozen and they were gone the next day. I will note that if you subsitute baking chocolate chunks for the chips the cookie will come out differently. In my experience it had more of a crunch, which isn't my favorite but they still went over just as well. If anybody knows why the baking chocolate made a difference I'd like to know. Thanks for the recipe! P.S.- Some helpful tips for making these cookies: If you spray the cooling rack with some non-stick spray it makes for easier clean up. Also, if you set some chips aside, you can stick some on the tops of the cookies so they come out looking for professional. Finally, if you are putting more than one pan in the oven, switch pans out to opposing racks to ensure even baking.
