About this Cook
I love to cook, create, garden, and harvest. It is my goal to study the culinary arts in school, and for the rest of my life. A restaraunt would be the ultimate dream for me. Everyone says I ought to start one! Having two kids, this is hard to fathom right now. But goals are there to be acheived down the road.
My favorite things to cook
Anything italian, homemade soups, grilling, and anything new! I love creating my own recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad and I always cooked in large batches and froze for his lunches, of course sampling along the way. My sister is the baker, and I am the cook!
My cooking triumphs
Cabbage rolls, My Orange Lime marinated grilled prawns, Bacon Corn Chowder, secret recipe Homemade Spaghetti and Meatballs, Beef and Mushroom stew, Strawberry Swirl cake with cream cheese icing, My own version of Pureed Beet Soup with Dill and Sour Cream.
My cooking tragedies
Definately that pork chop one pot concoction....very gross. Not a winner at all.

Roasted Pear Mango Chutney
This recipe was so good, since there werent ANY mangos at my local market I added extra dried cherries and some currants. SO GOOD. Thanks! Also....I made one batch with Cider Vinegar, one with White vinegar. Both were awesome.

Cranberry Chutney II
I just made this as thanksgiving is coming up in just days, and I loved it so much I am not even bothering with buying the canned cranberry sauce this year. So good, I jarred it and gifted it to others...had to buy more cranberries and make a second batch! Thank You.

Bacon and Bourbon Thanksgiving Stuffing
Awesome Awesome Recipe! Tested it out and am making it for Thanksgiving Supper, as for the comments stating too much liquid, THANK you for stating in the directions to add liquid to desired consistancy! That means one can play around to get the consistancy they prefer. I am going to try this time adding some peeled cut apples to this, and tip:If you aren't a drinker, as I am not, omit the Bourbon!! Thanks so much.
