About this Cook
I am always on the go. I breed, raise, and show Golden Retrievers. I love to cook, but have to be in the mood. When the mood stikes, I don't stop. I camp, hike, love to read, but my dogs keep me extremely busy.
My favorite things to cook
I'm on the go so I do alot of slow cooking, casseroles, and saute cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas tray goodies and holiday cooking.
My cooking triumphs
No one has ever pushed their plate away
My cooking tragedies
Constantly forgeting to put on the timer.

Monte Cristo Sandwiches
This sandwich was very good. I too, liked white or potato bread, instead of the french bread. A monte cristo sandwich is supposed to be made with an egg batter, as Susie noted in this receipe. I noticed other reviewers suggested just grilling the sandwiches....that is not a true Monte Cristo. Everything about this receipe is perfect, with the exception of the french bread, and that is just preference...great job Susie.
