About this Cook
I am a happily married mother of 2 teenagers, one girl and one boy. My family is the most important thing in the world to me. We all love to hang out, cook and watch LSU football! I'm from the deep south, so I love down home cooking, but I like to change it up a little. I'm absolutely a Food Network junkie so I'm constantly trying new recipes I get from there. I'm sure you can guess...Pat and Gina Neely and Paula Dean are my favorites. I saw Paula Dean during her tour in Bossier City. She is an amazing woman. Anyway, I love to cook and try new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Any Southern Cuisine and Seafood:-)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Fried Chicken or Pork Chops and all the fixings!
My cooking triumphs
It makes me feel great to cook anything for a group and they go on and on about how great it is. That's what it's all about!
My cooking tragedies
I think when I was about 13 or 14 and my best friend and I tried to cook fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy for some other friends. The mashed potatoes were thin like grazy and the gravy was thick like the mashed potatoes!

Cheeseburger Soup III
This recipe is GREAT! The only thing I did different was fried bacon in a skillet, added the onion and bell pepper, then browned the hamburger in the bacon fat. I crumbled the bacon and chopped green onions to add to your bowl. It was like bacon cheeseburger soup! Definitely a hit at my house. Will make it regularly:-) It's my new favorite soup!
