Good flavor, very easy to make and roll out. Handled well. I think I over processed the dough in my mixer which made it a little tougher than I hoped, but that was my fault. I will use this recipe again.

Gourmet Root Beer Float

Love root beer floats! Another float that is delicious is lemon lime soda with lime sherbet, or really any sherbet flavor with a clear soda. So refreshing in the summer!

Sugar Cookie Frosting

This looked great and piped easily. I used half butter and half butter flavored shortening. They only problem I had was we piped on top of a powdered sugar, milk glaze that was spread on the cookies first. Some of the decoration broke off when stacked, but maybe it was still too soft when packaged. I will use this recipe again.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

This was excellent! Great flavor, used real butter but I halved the recipe since I didn't want a huge amount. Two 3.5 bags of microwave popcorn were perfect. I kept the popcorn in a 200 degree oven until the caramel was done. Everything mixed easily, and cleanup was quick after a quick soak in hot water. I will make again for Christmas gifts.

Spicy Bean Salsa

This is excellent! I've made it a few times and everyone loves it. It really gains flavor as it sits overnight. Serve with Fritos or Scoops for a great appetizer. I use a 16 oz bag of frozen white corn. I also cube avocado into the dip right before I serve it.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

These were very good. I did add a bit more flour than called for. They puffed quite a bit, some of my cutouts didn't look like the form, but after more flour they kept their shape better. I lost my Mom's recipe and have been looking for years for a replacement. I will use this again, but will add more vanilla.

Southern Ham and Brown Beans

This tastes just like how my mother-in-law makes her beans and ham. My husband grew up on it. We always serve this with cornbread. You have to have thinly sliced raw onion to sprinkle on and eat with it. She also served fried potatoes when she made this.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This tasted good, but had a lot of orange oil floating on it when it got hot in the crockpot. Maybe baking is better? We ended up with a lot left over, too bad since it had a good flavor.

Oatmeal Thumbprints

This is an excellent cookie! I made it last Christmas for the first time and my husband insisted that I make them again this year. I use more jam than called for, but everything else I do as the recipe says. Only problem is I keep calling them "jum thambprints"!

Fruit Dip II

This is so easy, but very tasty. I made it for a luau style barbeque with fruits like peaches, pineapple, kiwi and mango. Kids love it and so do adults. Very good with the strawberry cream cheese.

Barbecued Shrimp

Very good flavor. I cooked the shrimp much less time than the recipe called for and cut the recipe smaller for less shrimp. We served them with rice and my husband had seconds.
